- Career-Tech Program: Digital Media Design

"In the Lab, Nicayla has consistently demonstrated a strong work ethic, creativity, and a willingness to assist others. She consistently completes her work on time, puts genuine effort into every project, and brings a positive attitude to class each day. Nicayla is not only a good student but also an engaged member of her school community. She participates in several organizations that highlight her leadership, compassion, and drive. As a member of Upward Bound, she has shown her commitment to academic growth and college readiness. She’s active in Young Life, where she builds her faith and supports her peers. She also helps plan school events as part of the Junior Student Council, and through Key Club, she volunteers her time to make our community better—such as helping with the haunted trail during our Tech and Treat event here at the SCCTC.
In addition, she serves as the Historian for BPA (Business Professionals of America), where she takes on a leadership role in planning events and is also responsible for documenting these events with photographs, among other tasks. She also serves as the DMD Student Ambassador wherein she has volunteered to assist with Career Explorations Days, Open House, Senior Showcase, etc. Nicayla’s balance of creativity, leadership, and kindness makes her an incredible role model for other students. She’s dependable, thoughtful, and truly cares about doing her best in everything she takes on." ~Mrs. Leonard

"Landyn has excelled in lab and academics all year and just recently found out that he scored a 30 on the ACT! Landyn goes above and beyond by taking the time to master all the labs in his program. He recently started welding and seems to be a natural. His writing ability is incredible, Landyn's most recent research question was "What could the Department of Defense learn from the work of Alaskan Opilio Crab Fishermen?" This is by far the most interesting paper I have read in 26 years of teaching. Landyn is a joy to have in class and has a bright future ahead of him." ~Mrs. Harris

"Katelynn has been outstanding this year in her Math 4 - Medical Math course. She has had an A in math class all semester and currently has a 100% for 2nd quarter. Her assignments are always done on time and sometimes they are even completed ahead of schedule. She works hard to correct any assignments that are not perfect scores and asks questions so that she has a full understanding of the concepts. At Springfield-Clark CTC, Student of the Month recognizes students who shine in more ways than just grades. Teachers may nominate students who demonstrate growth, leadership, creativity, perseverance, or a strong commitment to being Job Ready, Achieving Success, and Going Beyond. Each month, one to three students are selected from nominations to be celebrated for the impact they’re making in the classroom and beyond.
