Culinary Arts Introduction

Jaguar Room Restaurant

Do you love food? Is the kitchen your favorite place to be? Turn that passion into something bigger with the Culinary Arts program at CTC!

In the Culinary Arts program, you won’t just sit in a classroom; you’ll cook, create, compete, and gain real-world experience.

Students learn professional cooking techniques, baking skills, food preparation, kitchen safety, restaurant management, and hospitality skills used by chefs and food industry professionals every day. Whether you’re creating new recipes, plating restaurant-quality meals, or serving customers, every day brings something new.

Students get hands-on experience working in The Jaguar Room, CTC's student-operated restaurant, and the CTC Food Truck, serving guests at community events .

These student-run businesses give you the chance to build confidence, teamwork, leadership, customer service, and cooking skills while experiencing what it’s really like to work in the food industry.

If you’re creative, hardworking, and ready to learn by doing, Culinary Arts at CTC can help turn your passion for food into an exciting future

Culinary students also have many opportunities to participate in state and national culinary competitions and compete for scholarships to prominent culinary colleges in the United States. Culinary students gain leadership experience through membership in the Family, Career and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA).

Opportunities are endless for anyone interested in establishing a career in the culinary arts or restaurant business. This industry offers career opportunities at almost any location in the country. For hard-working, creative, and service-oriented people, the industry offers unlimited potential.
