Our Health Programs help students develop skills for a future in the healthcare field, which involves diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of illnesses, diseases, and injuries. In the Dental Assisting program, students learn basic dental assisting skills that will allow them to enter the workforce or continue their education.
For the EMT, Medical Assisting, and Nurse Assisting programs, students begin their first year in Health Occupations, where they learn fundamentals for the healthcare field and are exposed to the three pathways that follow. At the end of their first semester, students apply for entry to their preferred program and are notified of the program they will begin studying in the second semester.
The Emergency Medical Technician program provides students with skills to be a first responder for a medical emergency and to assist with patient transport. Our Medical Assisting program prepares students to provide support in all aspects of the medical office under the direct supervision of a physician. In Nurse Assisting, students learn entry-level nursing skills for a hospital or long-term care environment.
