Cosmetology

Are you creative? Do you like to work with people? You may want to consider the opportunities the Cosmetology program has for you. By providing the public with a well-groomed appearance, you help everyone put their best foot forward.

Students develop skills through hands-on practice as well as textbook instruction that is required by the National Skills Standards. At the end of their senior year, students will take the Ohio State Board of Cosmetology Exam to receive their license. Potential students must have the discipline needed to have excellent school attendance in order to meet the 1500 hour requirement to take the State Board Exam.

• Classic French twist, roller setting, and perm wraps

• Precision hair cutting and razor texturizing

• 12 level hair color and foil weaving techniques

• Advanced braiding and up-do styling

• Nail art, hot oil manicures, and hand dips

• Wigs and extensions

• State Board Examination preparation

• Industry professionalism

• Workforce standards and employer expectations

Opportunities After Graduation

Successful Cosmetology students find employment right out of high school. As many of our former students have found, diversified employment opportunities are available.
