Heating & Air Technology

A Heating and Air Technology student practices HVAC skills in the program lab.

Few phases of modern living are untouched by the heating and air conditioning industry. Skilled specialists are required to design, install, and maintain controlled environments in enclosed areas ranging from homes to space satellites. Become a heating and air conditioning professional and enjoy a successful career.

An HVAC student works in the lab at the Springfield-Clark CTC.

Students develop skills and work habits through daily projects inside and outside the environmental controls lab. Students work on projects off campus, like the Project House, that are coordinated by the instructor. Job shadowing, apprenticeships, and mentoring programs are also offered in conjunction with this program.
