The Springfield Clark CTC Electrical Trades program is a state-approved Pre-Apprenticeship program. Students successfully completing the Electrical Training Alliance Interim Credential meeting the qualifications specified by non-union/union paths will enter the workforce as second year apprentices following graduation. Other students have the opportunity to enter the workforce as helpers, construction electricians, or construction wireman. The widening skills gap and retiring skilled tradesman have made electrical trades an in-demand career pathway. Currently, there aren’t enough people entering the field to fill openings left from retirees.
