The Springfield-Clark Career Technology Center celebrated the retirement of four educators with a combined service of more than 114 years at the end of the 2020-2021 school year.
Congratulations to our 2021 retirees:
- Mr. George Combs, HVAC Instructor, has retired after 38 years of service. The Springfield-Clark CTC thanks Mr. Combs for his dedication to building the next generation of HVAC professionals and helping students find their path through career tech education.
- Ms. Rebecca Shackleford is an Early Childhood Education and Care Instructor and retires with 25 years of service. During this time, she has helped countless students find their passion for educating and caring for children and helping to shape the future of our community.
- Ms. Marcia Taynor, Learning Resources Coordinator, retires after 31 years of service. During her tenure, Ms. Taynor has helped thousands of students find their path by coordinating Tech Prep programs and creating smooth transitions from SCCTC to our post-secondary partners through accreditation agreements.
- Mr. Larry Pilson taught Career-Based Intervention at Northwestern Local Schools and retires with 20 years of service. Through the power of CBI education, Mr. Pilson helped Warriors find their path to success with the development of employability skills, implementation of a career plan, and participation in a career pathway.
