Food Service Update - A la Carte Purchases Are Back!

The Springfield-Clark Career Technology Center Food Service Department is excited to share that our breakfast and lunch programs will be taking a few steps toward typical operations as students return from Winter Break.

Once SCCTC returns from the holiday break, our cafeteria will once again be open for limited à la carte purchases by students. What will that mean? Click here to download a PDF with additional information about food service operations.

For the remainder of the 2021-2022 school year, the USDA has offered to supply ALL students with 1 free breakfast and 1 free lunch each school day that the students are in the building. A full meal includes at least 3 out of 5 of the food groups (Fruit, Meat/Meat Alternative, Whole Grain, Dairy, and Vegetables).

Any items wanted beyond this offering are called à la carte and must be paid for by either adding funds to your student’s EZPay meal account online or bringing in funds to our cashier. More information on adding funds to your student’s account is available by visiting, EZ Pay or

If you’d like to set up a “Parent’s Account” to keep tabs on your student’s transaction history, you can set up an account that is Read-Only. The view-only portal will be located at

Funds can be added online, or you can send cash or check to school (checks should be made out to “SCCTC” with your student’s name and student ID# in the Memo line). Your student can bring those funds to our cashier first thing in the morning for timely processing. All deposits, both online and in-person, may take 24-48 hours to process.

Please keep in mind that students will be not be allowed to charge anything to their lunch accounts once the balance hits $0.00. They may not purchase any à la carte items without funds, but, as a reminder, the full meal will still be offered to all students at no cost based on the USDA compliant menu offerings.

Our Food Service Department can cater to some dietary restrictions with proper notice, but parents are responsible for providing any particular dietary items to their students, as our procurement abilities are limited.
