"In the Lab, Nicayla has consistently demonstrated a strong work ethic, creativity, and a willingness to assist others. She consistently completes her work on time, puts genuine effort into every project, and brings a positive attitude to class each day. Nicayla is not only a good student but also an engaged member of her school community. She participates in several organizations that highlight her leadership, compassion, and drive. As a member of Upward Bound, she has shown her commitment to academic growth and college readiness. She’s active in Young Life, where she builds her faith and supports her peers. She also helps plan school events as part of the Junior Student Council, and through Key Club, she volunteers her time to make our community better—such as helping with the haunted trail during our Tech and Treat event here at the SCCTC.

In addition, she serves as the Historian for BPA (Business Professionals of America), where she takes on a leadership role in planning events and is also responsible for documenting these events with photographs, among other tasks. She also serves as the DMD Student Ambassador wherein she has volunteered to assist with Career Explorations Days, Open House, Senior Showcase, etc. Nicayla’s balance of creativity, leadership, and kindness makes her an incredible role model for other students. She’s dependable, thoughtful, and truly cares about doing her best in everything she takes on." ~Mrs. Leonard
