Each year, the Exchange Club of Springfield celebrates outstanding youth across Clark County, recognizing their leadership, service, and vision for the future. High schools in the county select a student to be their Exchange Youth of the Year, based on their essay. This year’s essay topic, chosen by the Exchange Club, asked students to reflect on their contributions to the community.
"In a world that is constantly changing and ever-evolving, our youth play critical roles in shaping the future of their communities. From advocating to leading, young people are taking charge and making a significant impact. How have you personally contributed to society, and how do you envision your future in community service?"
Meet Hailey Neer
CTC is excited to share that Hailey Neer, a senior in the Computer Graphic Arts program and a Northeastern High School student, was selected as CTC’s Exchange Youth of the Year! 🎉
Hailey earned this honor for her inspiring essay, which highlighted her contributions to the community, her leadership at CTC, and her ambitious vision for the future. Hailey serves as the SkillsUSA Vice President for CTC’s chapter and serves as the President for the Central Region of SkillsUSA.
Her essay, combined with her active involvement in school and extracurricular activities, showcases her commitment to making a difference.
Cheering Hailey On to the County Competition
As the Exchange Youth of the Year for CTC, Hailey receives a certificate of recognition and a $100 award. Hailey, along with the Exchange Youth of the Year for the other schools in Clark County, will present at an Exchange Club luncheon in later this month and vie to be named Exchange Youth of the Year for 2024-2025 and earn an additional $1,000 scholarship.
Hailey’s dedication to her studies, her community, and her future is an inspiration to us all. We’re proud to have her represent CTC and wish her the best of luck as she competes against other high school nominees for the Springfield Exchange Youth of the Year title at the county level!
