CTC Students Compete in Tech Prep Showcase at Sinclair College

CTC Students Compete in Tech Prep Showcase at Sinclair College
Students from Springfield-Clark Career Technology Center (CTC) recently showcased their skills, creativity, and career-tech knowledge at the Sinclair College Tech Prep Showcase, an annual event that brings together students from across the region to present innovative projects and compete for top honors.

The Showcase provides students with the opportunity to network with other career-tech students in the area and to interact with judges from education, business, industry, and labor.

More than 50 CTC students attended the showcase, including students from the following career-tech programs:
  • Cybersecurity
  • Software Programming Technologies
  • Digital Media Design
  • Electrical Trades

Each student team—made up of two to five members—delivered a five- to seven-minute presentation judged by industry professionals, educators, and community leaders. Evaluation was based on a comprehensive rubric, including project research, academic/technical skills, professional relationships, and presentation skills.

The Results Are In!

CTC teams earned high scores and placements in several categories. Congratulations, to all the students who stepped out of their comfort zone and competed!
