CTC Kicks Off New School Year with Staff Training and Awards

CTC Kicks Off New School Year with Staff Training and Awards
At Springfield-Clark Career Technology Center (CTC), we believe our talented, passionate, and dedicated instructors and staff are the backbone of our success. Each year we kick off the new school year with updates, training sessions, planning meetings, and a celebration of staff service milestones and attendance achievements.

Opening Days: Training, Planning, and Preparation

Before students return to campus, our entire team participated in Opening Days - 4 days filled with information and activities to set up our team for a successful year. Professional development sessions covered topics like our new Positive Behavioral Interventions and Support (PBIS) Rewards initiative, integrating AI into the classroom, and strategies for supporting English Language Learners. We also received updates on new technology, Future Ready Fridays, and other systems that will support our students and staff. In addition to training and updates, staff collaborated on planning CTC’s big events, such as the Open House for 10th Graders & Families, this Fall’s Opportunity Fair, Lab Olympics, and Senior Signing Day.

Celebrating Staff: Commitment and Attendance

During Opening Days we take a moment to recognize the commitment and hard work of the CTC team. This year, we’re proud to honor those who have reached their 1 year, 5 years, 10 years, and 15 years of service milestone and those who have demonstrated exemplary attendance.
