CTC Celebrates Board of Education During School Board Recognition Month
Leaders Connecting the Community and Classroom
CTC’s school board members are a vital link between the community and the classroom. In addition to overseeing the budget and district policy, the board members represent each of our seven associate school districts, ensuring all of Clark County is represented.
Strong partnerships between the board, CTC instructors, local businesses, and industry professionals who serve on each program’s advisory board create invaluable industry connections and hands-on learning experiences for students. These opportunities inspired students to earn over 1,200 industry certifications and credentials in the 2022-23 school year. Additionally, 97% of the Class of 2023 entered the workforce, pursued higher education, or enlisted in the military within 6 months of graduation.
Celebrating Achievements
Under the leadership of the Board of Education, CTC has achieved several milestones, including:
- Expanding satellite programs at Northwestern Junior/Senior High School to serve over 500 junior and high school students.
- Passing a levy to fund the construction of a new $90 million state-of-the-art facility.
- Securing $38.7 million in funding from the Ohio Facilities Construction Commission to assist in the new construction.
- Guiding the formation/expansion of in-demand career-tech programs such as Criminal Justice, Veterinary Science, and Engineering and Architectural Design in the past decade.
