BPA Students Bring Home Top Awards and Advance to State Competition

BPA Students Bring Home Top Awards and Advance to State Competition
Springfield-Clark Career Technology Center (CTC) students emerged victorious at the Business Professionals of America (BPA) Southwest Region Awards held at Xenia High School in Xenia, Ohio.

Highlights of the Awards Ceremony

A gathering of more than 250 students from seven schools attended the celebratory event, where accolades were bestowed, and mutual congratulations echoed through the venue. An impressive group of over 60 CTC students attended the ceremony along with advisors Mrs. Leonard, Mr. Fadden, and Mrs. Yake. Over 50 CTC students secured positions within the top six rankings in the region. Of these, 22 outstanding students will advance to the upcoming BPA State Competition scheduled for early March.

Road to Success

The journey to success for students in the Cybersecurity, Digital Media Design, and Software Programming Technologies programs began weeks ago. Students prepared for competitions with in-class work, studying, research, collaboration, and in some cases physical creation of projects. Ranging from individual challenges to team-based endeavors, competitions were held virtually and in-person, with several requiring in-person presentations before discerning panels of judges.

CTC's Stellar Performers

Students enrolled in CTC's Cybersecurity, Digital Media Design, and Software Programming Technologies programs proudly represent the institution as active BPA members. Their commitment to excellence extends beyond regional competitions, as they prepare to compete at the state and national levels.

BPA's Skill Development Focus

Business Professionals of America (BPA) stands as a catalyst for students' skill development across various domains such as Finance, Business Administration, Management Information Systems, Digital Communication and Design, Management, Marketing, and Design, along with Health Administration. CTC's triumph at the BPA Southwest Region Awards is a testament to the dedication and proficiency of its students, showcasing the school's commitment to nurturing future leaders in diverse professional fields.

Congratulations to all of our BPA students - we know you worked hard! We are excited to see you represent CTC at the state level and are looking forward to seeing what you achieve!
