First Steps: Architect Hired for New Building

We’re making major moves! Springfield-Clark Career Technology Center (CTC), in partnership with the Ohio Facilities Construction Commission (OFCC), is excited to announce that Schorr Architects will lead the design of our brand-new, state-of-the-art school building.

Located in Dublin, Ohio, Schorr Architects brings decades of expertise to the table—having completed over 750 school-related projects with 52 school districts across the state, including several career centers like ours. Their experience and understanding of career-tech education makes them a perfect fit for this exciting project.

What’s Next

So… when will the new building open? That’s the big question—and trust us, we’re just as excited as you are! While there are a lot of important steps (big and small) between now and opening day, here’s a very simple and tentative look at the current timeline:

  • Design Phase: Begins May 2025 – expected to run for about 12 months
  • Sitework Begins: Spring 2026
  • Move-In Ready: June 2028 🎉 (fingers crossed)

Keep in mind, this is a high-level overview and things could shift along the way. We’ll keep you posted with updates as the project moves forward!
