As we continue to navigate educating students during the COVID-19 pandemic, we need to announce some upcoming adjustments to our schedule for the month of February. Due to the upcoming holiday, state required ACT testing, and Sophomore campus tours, we have made a few changes to continue our focus on keeping our students and staff healthy and safe while giving the best possible education to our students. Please see the calendar below and the following page for more information.

Current state legislation requires that school districts administer the ACT test to all students during their junior year. We will be administering the test to all juniors in person on campus on Tuesday, February 23. Due to the spacing requirements and length of this test, senior & sophomore students will not report to campus on this day. Seniors & sophomores will be given instructions from teachers and school staff prior to this day.
Monday, February 15 is President’s Day. Because of the holiday, the Springfield-Clark CTC will be closed. With this and the other dates in mind during this month, we have decided to shift the on campus attendance days for Group A students for this week to Tuesday and Wednesday.
Typically, we would hold Tour Days (Career Exploration) in November. These days give interested sophomores from our partner schools the opportunity to come and see our labs and explore the possibilities that await them here at the Springfield-Clark CTC. Our partner schools have graciously arranged to have interested sophomores safely visit the Springfield-Clark CTC during the month of February.
During these days, the only students on campus are students that are assisting instructors with campus visits. These students, Tour Day Program Representatives, will need to have their own transportation and will coordinate participation with their program instructor. Lunch will be provided for Program Representatives on these days. Students who are not helping with campus visits, will attend their academic classes online during their designated period schedule. Career Technical programs and Embedded English classes may also meet or assign work during the lab portion of each day. Please see the schedule below for detailed times for the Tour Days - Online Special Schedule.
CCP and Job Placement students need to communicate any issues with this revised schedule to their teachers. Students are responsible for attending classes held on these days.
