Student Life

While attending the Springfield-Clark Career Tech Center, students have the opportunity to participate in clubs and organizations at the CTC, as well as to participate in athletics and other student activities, including dances, music programs, and some clubs, at their home high school.

Career Tech Student Organizations

CTC students are involved in many organizations to enhance their education. CTC Student Organizations (CTSO)  strive to teach students professional and leadership skills that will help them in their career field. Students in the CTSO get the opportunity to compete with students from other schools in both leadership and skill competitions.

We are proud to say that our students have won bronze, silver and gold medals at regional, state and national levels of competition. CTC students have also been very involved in the regional and state leadership of the CTSOs.

These organizations assist in providing quality education experiences for students in leadership, teamwork, citizenship and character development. They build and reinforce self-confidence, work attitudes and communications skills. There is an emphasis on total quality at work, high ethical standards, superior work skills, life-long education and pride in the dignity of work.

CTSO Organizations include:

  • Business Professionals of America
  • Family, Career, and Community Leaders of America
  • Future Educators of America
  • The IntraClub Council
  • National Honor Society
  • National Technical Honor Society
