Future Ready Days

These sessions are geared toward adding to your academic and lab experience.  They allow you to pursue or even find new passions and interests, while preparing you to tackle life beyond graduation. 

• Learn to play chess
• Change the oil in your car
• Ice skate
• Fly a drone
• Write your own silent film
• ACT prep
• Drivers education
• CPR and First aid
• Additional credentials/certifications 
• Resume building and interviewing
• Field trips to local places of interest ie art museum, historical sites
• College visits
• On and off campus
• Access additional support

• Come to CTC and experience something new and exciting! You’ll select a morning session and afternoon session (or an all day session). 
• Independent Study at home. You’ll still have assignments and work to complete for all of your classes and lab. This also counts as your attendance (similar to Asynchronous Day). If you choose to complete your assignments from home you still need to complete the registration form and select "Independent Study-Off Campus"

Sessions are led by CTC teachers, CTC lab instructors, CTC staff, community leaders, business owners, and other professionals.

Sessions are based on feedback from students and staff. So make sure you complete the surveys that are sent to you!

There are no additional costs to students.

Transportation to and from CTC is provided by your homeschool just like any other school day. If transportation is needed as part of a Future Ready Friday session you’ve selected, CTC will provide it.

Breakfast will be available to all students in the SCCTC Cafeteria from 7:15 a.m. to 8 a.m.  If you are planning to get breakfast from the cafeteria, please indicate this on the registration form to help our cafeteria staff plan appropriately.

Lunch will be available to students in the SCCTC Cafeteria from 10:45 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. on Future Ready Days just like any other school day. If you are planning to get lunch from the cafeteria, please indicate this on the registration form to help our cafeteria staff plan appropriately.
