Program Advisory Committees
To Advise
The Advisory Committee reviews aspects of curriculum and lab work and makes suggestions to improve content, methods, software, equipment, or other systems.
To Assist
The Advisory Committee assists the instructor with specific activities. These could include speaking to students, judging skill events, setting up a scholarship program, or helping spread the word about the program.
To Support and Advocate
The Advisory Committee is a liasion between the program and local industry, business leaders, and community leaders. Committee members may support the program through assisting with tours, job shadowing, mentoring, internships, mock interviews, and sharing of important industry news and developments.
