Hospitality & Tourism

A Hospitality and Tourism students refills the salad bar in the Jaguar Room, the CTC's restaurant operated by Hospitality and Culinary students.

The Hospitality and Tourism industry is one of the largest and most dynamic in the world today for job growth! During this two-year program, students learn core skills that are essential to entering the industry and are introduced to the many opportunities available locally and worldwide.

A Hospitality and Tourism student assists with events at the Courtyard by Marriott Springfield Downtown.

Local tourism sites will be visited while learning critical skills in communications, customer relations, marketing, and event planning, along with professional development. Via work in local Springfield-Clark County businesses, students have the opportunity to see if a career in Hospitality and Tourism is really for them. During their senior year students work alongside the Culinary Arts students in the student-run restaurant, The Jaguar Room. Successful completion of this program can also lead to numerous scholarship opportunities for students!
