Our Student Services department provides support to help all Springfield-Clark Career Tech Center students on their path to become Career Ready. College Ready. Life Ready.

Special Education

The Springfield-Clark Career Tech Center collaborates closely with home schools to ensure the success of our students with disabilities. While at the CTC, students who have an Individualized Educational Plan will continue to receive services and support. We have Intervention Specialists on staff to work with students with disabilities and we partner with the student's home school to continue to follow the IEP to support students in achieving their educational goals.

Counseling

We believe every student has the ability to achieve their personal success.  Through the delivery of a comprehensive counseling program, our school counselors enhance the personal/social, academic, and career development of all students. In collaboration with school and community stakeholders, the department will focus on minimizing barriers to learning and advocating for all students to realize their potential, passions and goals as they transition through the educational process into the leaders of tomorrow.

College Credit Plus

The Springfield-Clark CTC is excited to offer added opportunities to our students through the College Credit Plus program. College Credit Plus will allow students to enroll in courses that will earn them both high school credit and college credit at the same time. Students have many options to access this program, including attending approved courses at the CTC, taking college courses online, or driving to one of the area's college campuses.

Career Advising

Experts generally describe career advising as an integrated process that helps students understand how their personal interests, strengths and values might predict satisfaction and success in school and related career fields, as well as how to tie these interests and strengths to their academic and career goals. Now more than ever, students need to see a connection between what they are learning in the classroom and their future careers. Ohio students must have access to a comprehensive menu of resources and support to prepare for their future success. Through relevant classroom instruction, career-related learning experiences, and consistent counseling and advising, students can discover their interests and explore academic and career pathway options.
