Hands-On

Basic dental assisting skills are taught that will enable students to enter the workforce or continue their education after graduation.

Opportunities After Graduation

The basic training offered at the CTC will enable a student to gain an entry-level position as a chair-side assistant, office receptionist, or laboratory assistant. Most laboratory technicians will require additional training either on-the-job or at a formal training institute. Students who complete this program and pass the State Board Exam will receive their Ohio Dental Assistant’s Certification and Dental Radiographer’s License. Many students choose to continue their education at a two or four-year university, community college, or technical institute.

College Scholarship Opportunities

$3,000 scholarships are available from Clark State Community College and Sinclair Community College to qualified students.
