Senior Academy students will take classes online and can report to campus on a blended schedule for academics until work is complete. Seniors will still report for lab classes, but may also participate in work placement in their labs.

What are the class selections in the Senior Academy?

Seniors in the Senior Academy must not be credit deficient and must be on track to graduate, as reviewed by home school and SCCTC counselors. Senior Academy students must maintain a C or higher GPA while in the program**. These students will need to take 5 credits (minimum), depending on their graduation requirements. to take the following courses*:
  1. Mentorship (2 credits - 1 English, 1 Elective): This will be a career project that the senior will choose, which will culminate in a presentation at Parent-Student Engagement Nights.
  2. Design Your Own Learning Plan: Choose from the following choices for your third credit option.
    1. Business Foundations - In this course, seniors will develop foundational professional skills, in addition to exploring fundamental business activities and concepts. This course will help students build business & career skills for their chosen pathway.
    2. Other Core, Elective, or Independent Study - Seniors in the Senior Academy will tailor their schedule to their needs for this option.

*Each course will have a teacher assigned. Teachers will teach in a blended learning environment, where students can finish on a mastery-based timeline.
**Senior Academy students need to stay on track in their coursework to maintain enrollment in the Academy.
