VIRTUAL Elective Courses Offered
Through SCCTC’s Credit Flexibility Board Policy, students may take virtual courses to fulfill credit requirements. Students can take virtual courses for three purposes:
- Credit Recovery: If students need to recover credit or earn an initial credit due to a credit deficiency, the staff at SCCTC will work to identify appropriate courses for recovery, in conjunction with counselors at the students’ home schools.
- Industry Credential: Students who need an industry credential or graduation seal to graduate can do so through virtual course offerings. This would be determined in conjunction with home school counselors.
- Virtual Electives: Students have the opportunity to select a virtual course option that may not be offered through our other Course & Career Program of Study offerings when applicable.
- Career Exploration (0.5 credit)
