Dear Parents/Guardians and Community Members:
We are excited to announce that we will be holding our 7th Annual Welding Rodeo at Springfield Clark Career Technology Center on Friday, April 26, 2019, from 9am-4pm at 1901 Selma Road Springfield, Ohio 45505.
Seven teams will have five hours to create a piece of “found art” from scrap metal donated by local companies. Local businesses have also volunteered to serve as mentors and judges for each individual team.
The theme for this year’s rodeo is Western. All sculptures will be auctioned and a portion of the proceeds will be donated to the Honor Flight of Dayton and SCCTC’s Welding & Fabrication Scholarship. Our goal is to collaborate together in order to build knowledge, understanding, and awareness about the growing field of welding. The community is welcome to attend. The sculptures will be auctioned on the day of the event.
You may also purchase raffle tickets for the picnic table at the cashiers office or thru any welding student. Tickets are $25.00 ea. and only 100 tickets will be sold. Lunch will be provided for all students, mentor, and judges. Please visit the following website to order 2019 Welding Rodeo shirts and other merchandise. The deadline to order is April 5.
