Hands-On

Students develop skills through many hands-on applications that are taught in the Welding lab. Students visit local welding shops through job-shadowing opportunities in their junior year. During their senior year, students who demonstrate advanced skills have opportunities to get a job through the Early Job Placement Program or through the registered apprenticeship program.

Students may further their education at a four-year university, community college, or technical institute. This program can be a valuable stepping stone by providing students with skills they can use to earn money while they pursue advanced training.

College Scholarship Opportunities

$3,000 scholarships are available from Clark State Community College and Sinclair Community College to qualified students.

INT 1000     OSHA 10 HR. General Safety - 1 Credit

 

Students will have the opportunity to earn credentials and college credits based on final program grades and /or test scores.
