With an aging population and a vibrant hospitality and tourism market, there is now even greater career opportunity in these service sectors. What's more, employers recognize skilled, educated individuals as stand-outs among the throngs that flock to these highly visible positions ranging from chefs, to hotel personnel management, to tour guides. The SCCTC Hospitality and Tourism curriculum prepares our students for the workplace, helping them to develop and sharpen the skills they need to secure the job and succeed in their careers.
The Hospitality and Tourism industry is one of the largest and most dynamic in the world today for job growth! During this two-year program, students learn core skills that are essential to entering the industry and are introduced to the many opportunities available locally and worldwide.

Local tourism sites will be visited while learning critical skills in communications, customer relations, marketing, and event planning, along with professional development. Via work in local Springfield-Clark County businesses, students have the opportunity to see if a career in Hospitality and Tourism is really for them.
