SkillsUSA State Conference

State

On April 11 & 12 we had 45 students attend to the SkillsUSA State Conference in Columbus, Ohio. The following students received metals because they placed in the top three in the state of Ohio:

Kierstyn Avery (a Greenon senior in the EMT Program) took 3rd place in the Basic Health Care Competition

Alaina Blevins (a Southeastern senior in the EMT Program), Cheyenne Cooper (a Northwestern senior in the EMT Program), Kayla Rigsby (a Southeastern senior in the EMT Program) and Joseph Kelly (a Shawnee junior in the Health Occupations Program) took 3rd place in the Health Knowledge Bowl Team Competition

Brooke Zimmerman (a Tecumseh senior in the Dental Assisting Program) took 3rd place in the Dental Assisting Competition

Macalah Schuyler (a Tecumseh senior in the EMT Program) took 2nd place in the First Aid/CPR Competition

Dan Cleary (a Springfield High senior in the Electrical Trades Program) took 1st Place in the Industrial Motor Controls Competition

Kara Horn (a Tecumseh junior in the Engineering/CNC Program) took 1st place in the Extemporaneous Speaking Competition

Chris Mastin (a Tecumseh senior in the Computer Aided Drafting & Design Program) took 1st place in the Technical Drafting Competition

Madaline McCleary (a Springfield High senior in the Medical Assisting Program) took 1st place in the Medical Assisting Competition

Dan Cleary, Kara Horn, Chris Mastin and Madaline McCleary as state gold medal winners and Jenna Fitch as the newly elected state secretary will be invited to represent the Springfield-Clark CTC and the State of Ohio at the SkillsUSA National Conference in Louisville, Kentucky on June 19-24, 2017.
